How can I update the Parrot kit's software?
To update CK3100, CK3300, CK3500 kit, there are
3 ways:
1.1
By Serial
connection.
You will need a PC, a Parrot serial cable
and the Parrot Flash Update wizard
software.
In order to update your kit, please follow
these steps:
-
Download and install the Parrot Flash Update
wizard.
-
Connect your PC and your car kit with the Parrot
serial cable.
-
Don’t switch on your Parrot car kit.
-
Start the Parrot Flash Update wizard.

Click on "Next".

Select the kind of car kit you want to update:
CK3x00 series.

Click on "Next".

Click on "Download Latest Version".
-
Wait until the following window appears:

Click on "Download Now

Wait until the following window appears:

Click on "OK".

Select "Serial connection"

Select the port which is connected to your car
kit.

When the Parrot Flash Update Wizard reaches the
“XPRAM downloading”, plug the car kit’s power supply.
-
Wait until the Parrot Flash Update wizard
completes all of the steps.
-
Click on "Next".

Click on "Finish".

Disconnect the kit from the PC.
-
Wait until your Parrot car kit reboots. This can
take up to a few minutes. Do not switch off the ignition or power of your car
kit in the mean time

Using Bluetooth.
1.2.1 First
method.
You will need a PC, a Bluetooth Dongle
and the Parrot Flash Update wizard.
In order to update your kit, please
follow these steps:

Make sure your PC supports Bluetooth
connectivity.

Download and install the Parrot Flash Update
wizard.
-
Start the Parrot Flash Update wizard.
-
Click on "Next".
-
Select the kind of car kit you want to update:
CK3x00 series.
-
Click on "Next".
-
Click on "Download Latest Version".
-
Wait until the following window appears:
-
Click on "Download Now".
-
Wait until the following window appears:
-
Click on "OK".
-
If you need to disconnect your PC from the Internet
in order to get into your vehicle, you can find the binary files you have
downloaded on your hard disk by following the path C:\Program Files\Parrot Flash Update Wizard\Internet Files path.
-
Switch on your kit.
-
On your car kit, activate the option
"Software update" that you can find in the
menu “Settings”, "Advanced Settings".

Find the Parrot car kit with the Bluetooth
manager that is provided with the Bluetooth Dongle’s
software.

Click on your Parrot car kit.

Click on "Next".

Enter the PASSKEY 1234.

Click on "Next".

The serial port by the Bluetooth dongle software
is now active. Please write down the outgoing COM port number that the
Bluetooth manager gives you on your computer. (In this example the active
serial port is number 10.)

Start the Parrot Flash Update wizard.

Click on "Next".

Select the kind of car kit you want to update:
CK3x00 series.

Click on "Next".
-
Click on "Browse" and reload the
binary files you have downloaded on your hard disk by following the C:\Program Files\Parrot Flash Update
Wizard\Internet Files path.

Click on "Next".

Select "Bluetooth virtual serial
connection".

Click on"Next".
-
Select the port you have written down.
-
Click on "Next".

Wait until the Parrot Flash Update wizard
completes all of the steps.

Click on "Next".
-
Click on "Finish".
-
Wait until your Parrot car kit reboots. This can
take up to a few minutes. Do not switch off the ignition or power your car kit
in the mean time and do not remove the Dongle.
1.2.2 Second
method.
You will need a PC, a Bluetooth Dongle and the Parrot
Flash Update wizard.
You can do it by this way only if you have Windows
XP with the Service Pack
2. Please
make sure that the Bluetooth Dongle’s drivers are not
installed. If
needed uninstalled them.
In order to update
your kit, please follow these steps:

Make sure your PC supports Bluetooth
connectivity.

Download and install the Parrot Flash Update
wizard.

Switch on your kit.
-
On you car kit, activate the option
"Software update" that you can find in the menu, "Advanced Settings".

Start the Parrot Flash Update wizard.
-
Click on "Next".
-
Select the kind of car kit you want to update:
CK3x00 series.

Click on "Next"
-
Click on "Download Latest Version".

Wait until the following window appears:
